LeydenReady events are designed to inform, prepare, and connect our community. From member meetings to hands-on wildfire awareness efforts, our events help neighbors stay engaged, build readiness, and take practical steps toward a safer Leyden.

Community Meetings

February 23rd, 6PM Leyden Rock Clubhouse

LeydenReady Community Meetings bring residents, volunteers, and team leaders together to share updates, align priorities, and strengthen our neighborhood-based preparedness efforts.

We’ll cover:

  • Our plan to ensure all residents are signed up for LookoutAlerts.

  • An update from our Open Space team on their plans and project.

  • An introduction to Firewise USA and community benefits.

  • Progress on our Field Team plan and Block Captain program.

  • Plans for National Wildfire Awareness Month in May.

  • And we’ll identify who is doing what — and by when — for each team.

We’re very happy to share that representatives from Arvada Fire Protection District will be joining us.

If you have a neighbor who cares about preparedness or keeping our community safe, invite them to come along — this is a great meeting to get involved.

All residents with an interest in preparedness and community resilience are welcome.

May: Wildfire Awareness Month

May is Wildfire Awareness Month across the State of Colorado and throughout the United States. This month serves as an important reminder to better understand wildfire risk and take proactive steps to prepare our homes and communities.

During Wildfire Awareness Month, LeydenReady will share:

  • Information on local wildfire risk and preparedness

  • Home hardening and defensible space guidance

  • Community education and awareness efforts

  • Opportunities for residents to take meaningful action

Our goal is simple: help Leyden residents be informed, prepared, and ready before wildfire season begins.
